Progress: 21.9 miles - Willows Spring (2 miles away from PCT mile 621.9) to McIlver's Cabin (.25 miles off of PCT mile 643.8)
Today Chewie, Tucker, Flying Fish, Stop and Go, Czech Mix, and I woke up at 3:15 am and began hiking at 4 am to beat the heat and to conquer our longest waterless stretch yet, 34 miles to the Walker Pass campground.
We thought about trying to cover all 34 miles today, but only Czech Mix ended up doing it. In the middle of the afternoon, it started snowing quite hard. I booked it to a cabin a quarter mile off the trail, where Chewie, Tucker and I are spending the night. Cold and tired, I feasted on a sweet and sour pork flavor Mountain House while in my sleeping bag.
