Progress: 27.0 miles - tentsite (mile 1242.9) to Buck's Lake Hwy (mile 1269.9)
Today we hiked along a detour that added about 2.8 miles of hiking into and out of a town called Buck's Lake. We got there in the evening as the General Store was closing. I had a pint of vanilla ice cream as an appetizer for my dinner at the Lakeshore Restaurant. I had a mushroom swiss burger there, and we enjoyed a beautiful sunset as we ate.
I actually walked 29.8 miles if you include the detour miles, my longest day of walking so far.
