Progress: 25.8 miles - Ash Campground (mi 1476.0) to tentsite (mi 1501.8)
Today I was just trying to get as close to the highway as possible so as to have an easy hike into Mt. Shasta. Backtrack and I are camped about 5 miles away from the highway, and we'll try to hitch into town tomorrow morning. It can be a difficult hitch, because you have to hitch from an interstate on-ramp. Wish us luck. I feel filthy from the rain that we've had the past couple days and badly in need of a shower and laundry in Mt. Shasta.
