Progress: 27.3 miles - tentsite (mi 1389.1) to Wild Berry cache (mi 1416.4)
Today Backtrack and I hiked the long and dry burn area of Hat Creek Rim, stopping at Forest Road 22, and then making to a cache that we had heard about a little beyond Highway 299.
The cache went far beyond our expectations, with lots of food, water, chairs, soda, a stove, dartboard, table, solar powered showers, and a solar powered charging station. Definitely the best cache I'll see on the trail.
We hit 1000 PCT miles today!!
Tomorrow we'll hike the short mileage into Burney Falls State Park, and maybe a bit farther after that.
