Progress: 25.0 miles - tentsite (mi 1572.3) to Statue Creek tentsite (mi 1597.3)
Today was one of the toughest days of hiking. I think I was tired already from my long day yesterday, and there was bad tread and very steep up and down today. My right calf is really tight and feeling quite bad. I essentially limped the final 6 miles of the day.
Backtrack just showed up, which means he did almost 32 miles to catch back up with us. He got my notes at the road and at last night's tentsite this morning. I'm impressed that he managed to go so far in what I felt was one of the toughest stretches of trail so far.
